4 Stone Buildings is looking to appoint a motivated, highly organised and proactive individual to join its marketing team as a Marketing Assistant. This is an excellent entry-level role for someone seeking to develop a career in marketing within a professional services or legal environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Executive and Joint Senior Clerks, working closely with the wider Chambers team, the Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting day-to-day marketing activity across events, digital communications and general administration. The position offers broad exposure to all aspects of chambers marketing and is well suited to someone looking for varied, hands-on experience in a busy professional setting.
Areas of Responsibility
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of a range of Chambers events, including seminars, conferences, client receptions and dinners
- Assisting with venue research, logistics coordination and pre-event organisation
- Providing on-the-day support at events to ensure smooth execution
- Creating, editing and scheduling content for the Chambers website and social media platforms
- Assisting with the design and production of marketing materials using tools such as InDesign, Canva and Photoshop
- Maintaining and updating the Chambers contacts database (LEX), ensuring data accuracy, compliance and effective communication management
- Supporting the preparation and submission of entries for directories, rankings and awards
- Providing general administrative and marketing support to the wider team as required
- Assisting in the production of branded marketing materials in line with Chambers house style and guidelines
- Offering occasional reception and general office support when needed
The Ideal Candidate
You will be organised, adaptable and keen to develop, with a genuine interest in marketing and communications within a legal or professional services environment.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Confident interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, members and external contacts
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with creativity and initiative
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel)
- Familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Canva, InDesign or Photoshop is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- An interest in developing a career in marketing within the legal or professional services sector
