Leading London set, Cornerstone Barristers is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the delivery of chambers’ marketing and business development strategy. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication skills, organisation, creativity, and the ability to prioritise multiple requests in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Role purpose
To support the delivery of chambers’ marketing and business development strategy through high-quality content creation, professional social media management, brand support, and the planning and delivery of events. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication skills, organisation, creativity, and the ability to prioritise multiple requests in a fast-paced professional services environment.
As events support is a key part of this role, flexibility on hours will be essential. As a small business, the successful candidate may be asked to cover some additional roles during periods of annual leave or sickness.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Communications
- Draft, edit and proofread website profiles, case highlights, newsletters and marketing materials
- Assist in preparing award submissions and profile updates
- Ensure all written materials are accurate, clear and aligned with chambers’ tone and brand
- Support the preparation of presentations and marketing materials
- Ensure member profiles are up to date
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Manage chambers’ professional social media platforms (including LinkedIn), ensuring consistent, high-quality and compliant content under the supervision of the Marketing Manager
- Draft and schedule posts highlighting cases, publications, seminars and member achievements
- Maintain and manage a forward content calendar
- Monitor engagement and prepare basic performance reports
- Ensure all online activity aligns with regulatory and reputational standards
Design & Branding
- Create and update branded materials including event invitations, digital graphics, brochures and presentation decks
- Ensure consistency of visual identity across all platforms
- Maintain templates and brand guidelines
- Liaise with external designers or suppliers where required
Events
- Support the planning and coordination of seminars, webinars, networking events and client receptions
- Run live webinars and support Q&A
- Assist in developing event timelines, task lists and promotional plans
- Draft and circulate invitations and manage RSVP tracking
- Assist with coordinating venues, catering, guest lists, materials and speaker logistics
- Prepare delegate materials, name badges and presentation decks
- Provide on-the-day operational support and ensure events run smoothly
- Assist with post-event follow-up communications and feedback collection
- Sourcing merchandise
Business Development Support
- Assist with research into prospective clients or sectors
- Maintain marketing databases and contact lists
- Support reporting on marketing and BD activity

- Experience in a professional services environment advantageous but not required
