This is a varied and dynamic role within Chambers, combining marketing, pupillage coordination and administrative support. You will play a key part in promoting Chambers’ reputation, supporting barristers and staff, and assist with managing the pupillage process in line with Bar Standards Board (BSB) requirements.
Core Duties
Marketing
- Maintain and update Chambers’ website, including barrister profiles, blogs, and news
- Manage social media channels and create engaging content to promote Chambers’ expertise
- Monitor analytics (Google and social media) and prepare performance reports
- Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials
- Monitor media coverage and contribute ideas for campaigns
Marketing Events
- Help to organise client-facing and internal events (online, hybrid, and in-person)
- Prepare invitations, promotional materials, and delegate packs
- Record and edit webinars for Chambers’ digital library
Directories
- Assist with collection of submissions from members
- Assist in proofing and submitting submissions
- Promotion of results of both directories and awards on website and social media
Administrative Duties
- Provide general administrative support to barristers and the Business Support team
- Maintain CRM database and produce segmented mailing lists
- Manage client feedback surveys and monthly reports
- Support reception during absences and ensure smooth day-to-day operations for optimum client service levels
- Observe confidentiality and comply with Chambers’ procedures and the Bar Code of Conduct
Pupillage Coordination
- Assist with managing the pupillage and mini pupillage recruitment process in compliance with BSB guidelines
- Coordinate advertising of pupillage vacancies on the Pupillage Gateway and Chambers’ website
- Assist with application shortlisting, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
- Maintain accurate records of applications and decisions
- Support the Pupillage Committee with documentation, meeting arrangements, and reporting
- Assist with onboarding of pupils and ensure compliance with training requirements
Pupillage Events
- Provide admin support for annual pupillage fairs
- Prepare content for pupillage directories
- Provide admin support for mini-pupillage events
Client Service
- Professional front of house skills
- Comply with all aspects of the Chambers’ core value of excellent service and strong relationships
- Build and maintain working relationships with colleagues, solicitors, other chambers, and stakeholders

Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Experience in a relevant marketing environment
- Strong grasp of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of Adobe packages including PDF Acrobat
- Awareness of data protection legislation and principles of data confidentiality, particularly around marketing and data processing
Desirable
- Some experience within the legal sector
- Knowledge of Google Analytics
- Experience of image design and video editing (such as Canva)
